My name is Phil. I created this site because after I used Fat Loss 4 Idiots my best friend and I posted a video on youtube. We also gave our cell phone number so people could ask us questions about it. We started getting hundreds of calls most of which we couldn't return. A lot of the questions were the same so we decided to make this site (I know it's not pretty!) to answer peoples questions about the diet.

I have been using the diet for many many months and it has worked every time in helping me lose weight or to get back on track so I do still answer emails. So if you have a question that wasn't answered please email me. Otherwise read through my story and the section about how this diet works to find out everything you need to know.

Yep, was me on the left the first day I started fat loss 4 idiots. The picture on the right was taken about 60 days later. Crazy huh?

From all the emails I get it sounds like we are all in the same boat when it comes to trying to lose weight. I started getting really fat right after college. While I was in college I was able to go to the gym & running almost 5 or 6 days a week! After college I got a job like everyone else, started eating more fast food and slowly but surely I was pushing close to 230 pounds before I knew it!


Then one day I went to the river with a bunch of friends. Guess what? I couldn't fit into a damn lifejacket! OMG I was so embarrassed. Then we got back from the river and we got all our pictures developed. I took one look at a picture of me climbing some rocks (below) and thought "Geeeze I am FAT!" That was what finally got me concerned about my weight and on track to trying to lose it.

Hello Phil,

Hopefully you get these because these are the ones I was telling you about in that email. They were a pain in the butt to get on my computer, I'm not very computer literate! I had to have my daughter help me.

The funny thing is that I didn't even realize how much weight I had lost till I put these pictures side by side and even my daughter couldn't believe it! I was really happy with my results and now im AMAZED!

The great part about this is I actually got pretty fast results I think I lost about 8 pounds my first 11 days. That kept me so motivated and made it easier to stick to it. I'm going on a vacation this summer and my goal is to wear a bathing suit. I've been wearing t-shirts to the beach since I can't remember.

Over the next year and a half I tried ANYTHING. I tried Atkins, nutrisystem, diet pills, hydroxycut, body cleanses, running, going to the gym and anything else that came my way. Realistically most of it didn't work because I didn't stick to it because they were either way too hard to follow, too expensive, or harmful (diet pills). lose 9 pounds in 11 days

Phil, here are my before & afters and you can put them on your site. The first set of pictures were taken on day 1 and the second set was taken at the 2 month mark.

Like I said in previous emails I didn't even really do any exercise the first 30 days. The second month I did start being more active for 2 reasons. One was because I was more motivated to lose even more weight and the second was because I wasn't as embarrased to go out into public!

I am VERY happy with my side profile because my stomach has gone down so much. Thanks for all your encouragement and emails. I'll keep in contact!

 I Followed The Meals I Was Told To Eat EXACTLY & Lost 26 Pounds The First 30 Days

I read through the fat loss 4 idiots handbook book that comes with the diet program. It basically  just contained all the rules that I was to follow while on the diet. Things like how much water to drink, what times to eat my meals and what portion sizes I was supposed to be eating.

I then used the diet generator where I picked foods I liked to eat from a very large list. It then printed out my menu containing EXACTLY what I was supposed to eat for breakfast, snacks, lunch & dinner. It was pretty cool actually. I went to the store sunday night and bought my food for the next 11 days. One thing I really liked was my food bill wasn't any more expensive and I didn't have to buy any crazy foods.

For the next 30 days I ate exactly what the fat loss 4 idiots diet generator told me to eat. Seriously, the only part I did NOT follow as I still had 1 cup of coffee per day. Obvioulsy it didn't affect me too much. When weighed myself after 30 days I was down 26 pounds! After another 30 days I was down another 12 pounds! I think the only reason it wasn't more was because I was going to the gym and lifing weights. Since muscle weighs more than fat I think even though I lost a lot of fat I was gaining muscle. But I looked Awesome!

 -Please take time to answer these questions to see if fat loss 4 idiots is your best option-

  1. Are you currently overweight by at least 10 pounds for women and 15 pounds for men?
  2. Do you eat fairly unhealthy (fast food more than once a week, processed or packaged foods, lots of sugar or junk food & coffee)?
  3. Can't or do not have the time to exercise and need weight loss program based around a diet?
  4. Failed other diets because it either wasn't strict enough or not laid out step by step?
  5. Can't afford a personal trainer or nutritionist?

If you answered yes to more than 2 or more of those questions especially #1 and #2 you are probably a perfect canidate for this diet. One thing to remember is that this is a pretty strict diet plan. You will have an 11 day meal plan that will be telling you EXACTLY what to eat. So if you have a job where you are on the road or flying ALL the time you might wanna find something more flexible. But if you can make meals at home you will be find.

 

-Who does not need fat loss 4 idiots (this is just my opinion)-

  1. You can afford a personal trainer or nutritionist (although expensive if you can afford it DO IT)
  2. You are already in fairly good shape and eat pretty well but you just need to lose a pound here or there (I would go for either exercise or a diet plan for less drastic results this is more for people who need to lose more weight)
  3. You are an athlete or someone who exercise A LOT and is VERY active (you may want to try a diet more tailored to athletes or very active people. This is more for normal people who need to lose larger amounts of fat) 
  4. You are just trying to lose a few quick pounds for a special event or meeting. This is a diet that you need to stick to for more than a week to notice results. If your goin to a reunion or special occasion next week I would try something else. Maybe one of those lemonade cleanses where you don't eat much.

So How Does It All Work & What Do You Get?
 
STEP 1 - Fat Loss 4 Idiots Hanbook & Diet Rules
fat loss 4 idiots handbookAfter you get the program you will downlaod this book to the left called the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Handbook. There's a lot of stuff in it but I’m not going to elaborate on it here. I will include what I thought were the 5 best chapters or most important parts. It also contains all the rules you are to follow while on the diet.

STEP 2 - Your Online Diet Generator
 Here’s how this works: All it is is a program where you pick from a very large list of foods things you like to eat. There are ALL kinds of foods on it. There is even a vegetarian menu for vegetarians. These are all normal foods like shrimp, fruit, tuna, bacon, eggs, sausage, sandwiches, nuts, fish and vegetables. You don’t have to buy anything fancy it’s all foods you probably already have or normally shop for at the grocery store MINUS junk food.
 
After you pick a certain number of foods from both the left side and right side of the menu (it is explained in more detail in the instructions) you press enter and an 11 day menu plan is printed out for you. You will eat 4 meals per day and it tells you EXACTLY what and when to eat.
 
After the 11 days you will have 3 cheat days. This is NOT to be confused as 3 GO CRAZY eat everything you see days. Cheat means relax. Don’t print out a menu. Eat a bad meal or two. Don’t eat pizza, ice cream and donuts all day. Sorry I have to say it but I’ve had someone email me and thats pretty much what they were eating all day on their cheat day. Just to give you an example of what I did on my cheat day I pretty much ate everything healthy but I would go out to dinner one of the nights. Then eat dessert on another night. STEP 3 - Shopping For Your Food
shopping for diet foodMy suggestion is to go shopping for most of the foods you will need for the whole 11 days. Trust me. After having done this diet for a long time and talking to other it is MUCH easier to stay on track and acheive results if you just buy all your food at once. Question: How much is the fat loss 4 idiots diet program?
Answer: I can no longer answer this question. The reason why is because I am NOT the creator of this program. I have NO control over the price of this product. I have gotten hate mail because I posted that the price of the program was $49 (that’s what I paid) but I guess that was a special and the creators of the program had it go back to $59. And some people got mad at ME like I had any control over it. I can tell you that it usually ranges anywhere between $39 and $59 WITH a discount they do. They have been running that discount for some time now but like I said, if you go to the site and they no longer have the discount I can’t do anything about that so please don’t email me pleading your case.
 
 
 
Question: What if it doesn’t work or I don’t like it?
Answer: Get a refund. There is a 60 day refund and it doesnt matter what the refund is for. This diet is not going to work for everyone on earth they know that. It works really well for the majority of people but if for some reason you don’t like it you have 60 days to get your money back. Thats plenty of time.
 
 
 
Question: Is fat loss 4 idiots a monthly fee or one time?
Answer: This is a one time fee and you have access to everything for life. The handbook you actually save on your computer and can even print it out if you like. You also get lifetime access to the diet generator and can print out a million diet plans if you like. Everything is yours.
 
 
 
Question: Do I need to buy any special foods, shakes, vitamins, pills or anything or is everything included?
Answer: NO. I would suggest a good multivitamin from the grocery store. Other than that you just shop for totally regular foods you probably already have or normally shop for anyways. Although I am learning most people buy junk food and packaged foods at the grocery store so you won’t be buying any of that.
 
 
 
Question: Can you give me an example of some of the foods you eat or shop for while on the fat loss 4 idiots diet? You don't have to do ALL the foods but just so we have an idea?
Answer: Yes, I will grab a small sample of some of the main foods so you have an idea and can see they are normal foods everyone buys. Also remember, the power of the diet is not just in its foods. Anyone can go buy these foods and eat them. It's the way they are grouped together that takes advantage of calorie shifitng that helps you lose the weight. So if you get the diet make sure you follow it EXACTLY.

Question: Can you print out one of your meals you have so we can see what a normal day would look like?
Answer: Yes, but remember this is based on my food choices so if there's something you don't like here that won't be an issue for you.

Monday:
  • Meal 1: 4 oz chicken breast grilled on george foreman grill
  • Meal 2: Fruit salad (pineapple, grapes, peaches, apple and banana)
  • Meal 3: Cottage cheese with 2 wheat thins
  • Meal 4: 3oz salmon


 
Question: How much more will I be spending at the grocery store?
Answer: Hands down without a doubt you will be spending LESS when you buy food. I have yet to hear of someone whose food bill went up. There are a few reasons for this. For one, you are buying foods that are naturally cheaper. Those prepackaged foods and junk foods usually are much more expensive than healthy foods. The only exception to this is if you buy all organic foods cause organic is usually pretty expensive. Secondly is you wont be spending money eating out if you eat out. And third is you probably wont be eating as much.
 
 
 
Question: What if I don’t like some of the foods on the menu can I substitute?
Answer: Yes. I had the same problem. For example I HATE sea bass. I tried to eat it on my first 11 day menu cause I thought I might like it. NOPE! So instead I looked up nutrition facts for that paticular food and found one that was almost exactly the same and only ate it when I had to. Just be careful on making too many substitutes. Only do it if you HAVE too. There is a difference between a food you would rather eat and foods you CANT eat. I would rather eat an apple pie over an orange! I have had a few people email me that were making substitutions and it was like a totally different food plan! If you have any questions email me and I’ll try to help.
 
 
 
Question: How many 11 day menus can I print out and if my husband and I wanted to do it together do we have to buy the program twice? I only ask because the plans are generated based on foods you pick right? And we both like different foods. So how does that work?
Answer: You OWN the diet generator so you can print out a billion if you wanted to. There is no limit. No don’t buy the program twice. Just get 1 and both of you use it. Yes the menu is based of foods that you picked so you both cant use the same menu but what you would do is you go on the program and make your personal 11 day plan then he goes on and picks all different foods for his 11 day plan
 
 
 
Question: Can a skinny person lose weight on the fat loss 4 idiots diet?
Answer: If you are already in pretty good shape, you eat fairly healthy and you just need to lose just a few pounds this probably isnt for you. Its tailored to people that have a hard time losing weight, need to lose a lot of it and need a diet plan that will tell them EXACTLY what to do.
